Instructions for starting PDCC courses under ICP
The Indian College of Pathologists conducts Post-Doctoral Certificate Courses in various subspecialties of Pathology including
- Oncopathology
- Renal and Transplantation Pathology
- Neuropathology
- Dermatopathology
- Gastrointestinal and Hepatic Pathology
- Paediatric Pathology
- Cardiovascular Pathology
- Pulmonary Pathology
- Cytogenetics
- Molecular Pathology
- Oncopathology(uropathology)
- Hematopathology
Interested senior pathologists with experience in specialized areas of work in pathology can apply for commencement of PDCC courses at their institute under their guidance.
Please send an application mentioning the subject for the PDCC application, along with details of the institute where you wish to commence the course, list of equipment with quantiy and make available in the lab, Spectrum and quantity of clinical work in the area of application, special techniques, quality control measures, certifications (if any), positions with salary for students who will undertake the PDCC and the detailed CV of the faculty members who are eligible to become guides. The application should be forwarded and approved by the head of institute. A separate letter of commitment form the institute head to provide the infrastructure and salried position to run the course and to permit inspection and time to time checks by the ICP should accompany the application. Complete application with required annexures should be sent by email to the secretary ICP. A maximum of two students are permitted per guide per year.
After initial screening by the executive, the committee nominates two senior fellows for the inspection of the lab.
A non-government lab will have to submit Rs 10,000/- as inspection charges and will have to look after the local hospitality of the inspecting members.
Report of inspection will be sent to the Secretary ICP that will be further ratified in the EC and GBM of fellows and members of ICP
